One of the first movies my husband and I watched together was The Apartment, a movie made in 1960 starring Shirley MacLaine and Jack Lemmon about a hapless guy who tries to get ahead at work by sharing the key to his apartment with managers who use the space to take their girlfriends. It’s a really great movie that must have been shocking in its time and we were over the moon to find out it was going to be one of the films featured in the Cool Films Series at Victoria Theatre this summer.
There’s still time to see some great movies this season, click here for the schedule. The next ones I can’t miss are Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (August 9-11) and The French Connection (August 30-September 1). Tickets are $5 at the door and they have free popcorn and pop available before the show. It’s really the best (and cheapest) date night ever!
Welcome!I love Dayton, I've lived here for all of my 26 years and don't plan on settling anywhere else. I started this blog as a way to showcase the best of Dayton (as seen through my perspective) and also to share some of the things that occupy space in my mind, namely beauty, home decor, quotes, and various aspects of my life.
