A little while ago, someone from St. Anthony church contacted me to see if I would be willing to share one of my photos of St. Anthony with them for use in their commemorative centennial book. I was happy to allow them to use my photo (I mean, it’s only fair after I used the Father’s wi-fi for a few months before ours got installed).
I received a copy the other day and wow, it looks amazing! I’m so happy it worked out so well. I also loved reading about the history of St. Anthony church and what all the stained-glass windows mean.
The same weekend they were celebrating 100 years, I was digging around in my front flower beds (yes, I had to destroy my weed garden) and I happened to finally find my first Catholic artifact – a coin with Joseph on one side and Mary on the other. I put it back where I found it, of course, but it was neat to see that our home is part of the strong Catholic tradition in East Dayton.
Welcome!I love Dayton, I've lived here for all of my 26 years and don't plan on settling anywhere else. I started this blog as a way to showcase the best of Dayton (as seen through my perspective) and also to share some of the things that occupy space in my mind, namely beauty, home decor, quotes, and various aspects of my life.
